Home Theatre Rooms Don’t Have to be the Livingroom
When we think of home theatre rooms, we tend to think of one of two places. The living room is the most popular place for a home theatre. Many people use their garage as a theatre once it is fitted for the purpose.
Some people have the space have a room made exclusively for home entertainment, usually called the theatre room or entertainment room, separate from the traditional living room.
But in reality, most of us are not equipped for this kind of luxury. We are forced to either convert our living rooms into home theatre rooms, or to find another alternative, like a basement, garage or den.
If You Have Space, Their Are Choices
If your family home is does not offer additional space beyond a traditional living room there are usually alternatives. Conversion of a garage or basement requires some work, but once customized, can be one the best home theatre rooms.
Most theatres are nothing more than large vertical walls covered with dark curtains, low lighting and chairs. A dark floor and walls are easily duplicated, and with some creativity one can usually find a way to add some ambience to the effect that you won’t find in the average movie theatre.
Personalizing a dark room is just a matter of thought and applying the touches that will make it a home entertainment center.
Even in a basement, you can add creative features like stylish drapery, movie posters, popcorn machines and the like to turn your home theatre room into something that will make it a special area for viewing your favorite movies and movie-stars.
Creative motifs and murals on the walls can also add to the experience, if you’ve got the time and artistic skills to apply to the project. Give it some thought. Your guests will usually appreciate the effort and the personalized touches you apply to your personalized theatre.
Your personality and preferences in movies and their motifs is easily applied to a blank room without another purpose. Let the room speak to your audience by using your personality to determine the interior of your home theatre room, wherever it may be.
